Pilot Talk: 31 Years Flying the A-4 "Skyhawk"

Retired Marine Corps fighter pilot Major General Bob Butcher will discuss his experiences and changes to the airplane, the squadron mission and the training of pilots flying the A-4 "Skyhawk". MajGen Butcher, a Marine aviator with worldwide service; is the recipient of the Defense Distinguished Service Medal, the Distinguished Flying Cross and 15 air medals. June 16th, 2018 at 11AM-12PM.

The Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum has 31 historical aircraft on display as well as hundreds of artifacts from the earliest days of aviation to the present day. Free admission and parking. Open Cockpit Days and Picnics with Pilots are held on select weekends from May-September. Check the website for more information. The sentry-free museum entrance is on Miramar Rd., 3.9 miles east of I-805 and 1.3 miles west of I-15.
