Join the WILDCOAST/COSTASALVAJE team for an evening to celebrate our coastal and marine conservation efforts during a special film screening at the 25th Annual San Diego Latino Film Festival. The small island nation of Cuba has been isolated from the rest of the world for more than half a century - and so have its vibrant coral reefs and natural coastal areas. WILDCOAST/COSTASALVAJE is bridging ties in the name of conservation in this Por el Planeta feature length docuseries - La Costa Salvaje de Cuba (The Wild Coast of Cuba) highlighting some of the most beautiful and pristine natural areas on the planet. The Evening's Activites: 6:00 - 7:00 PM Meet & Greet Reception7:00 - 8:00 PM Film Screening8:00 - 8:30 PM Expert Panel Discussion - 'Ocean Conservation in Latin America' featuring the following speakers: Serge Dedina, Ph.D - Serge is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of WILDCOAST and an award winning ocean conservationist and author.  Fay Crevoshay - Fay is the Policy and Communications Director of WILDCOAST who has led award winning conservation communications campaigns and is helping to advance conservation initiatives in Cuba.  Eduardo Najera Hillman, Ph.D - Eduardo is the Mexico Director of WILDCOAST and a distinguished researcher and conservationist who is helping to coordinate marine protected area and climate change adaptation planning ventures between the National Park Services of Mexico and Cuba.  Octavio Aburto, Ph.D - Octavio is the Director of the Gulf of California Marine Program, an Assistant Professor at Scripps Institution of Oceanography and a professional photographer associate with the International League of Conservation Photographers. Please bring a valid ID that will be checked at the event. All ages are welcome, however you must be 21+ with a valid ID to drink.   What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? The reception will take place outside of the AMC Fashion Valley box office and the film screening will take place inside one of the theaters. Parking is available in the public lots outside of the AMC theatre and Fashion Valley Mall.  Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends? Yes. Tickets are transferable.
